Abstract This study reports the structure and mechanical properties of new refractory Ti 37.5 Nb 12.5 Hf 25 Al , 40 30 15 20 Ta 10 (at.%) high entropy alloys. After annealing at 1200 °C for 24 h, program alloys had a single-phase B2 structure. Further 600 h resulted in formation Widmanstatten orthorhombic particles (O-phase) bcc matrix. The annealed T = showed moderate strength good ductility (>50%) 22 °C; while alloy was stronger, but less ductile both temperatures. Subsequent significantly increased °C, maintaining compressive sufficient room-temperature.
